Tim Donworth
Tim has been surrounded by horses all his life, having grown up on his family’s stud farm, Roundhill Stud, in County Limerick, Ireland.
From an early age, he knew that his dream and ambition were to train racehorses at the highest level. Determined to achieve this goal, he set out to gain deep expertise in horsemanship and racehorse training, with the clear objective of one day competing successfully as a trainer.

After a successful career as an amateur jumps jockey, while earning a degree in Business from Maynooth University, Tim joined the powerful William and Maureen Haggas team in Newmarket, where he worked as an assistant.
He was later selected for the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start programme, one of the most respected international programmes in the racing industry, which provided him with invaluable global experience.
Upon arriving in France, Tim worked alongside Nicolas Clément and Jean-Claude Rouget, gaining further experience in major French training centres — Chantilly, Pau, Deauville, and Cagnes-sur-Mer — with horses who competed successfully at the highest level.
Since September 2021, Tim has been training in Chantilly, a place he regards as one of the most idyllic locations in the world to prepare racehorses — and he has already enjoyed notable success.
